Simon Danczuk - Director
A co-founder and director of the company, Simon has many years’ research and campaign experience. Simon has also held research positions at The Big Issue in the North, Opinion Research Corporation, Bolton TEC and worked for academics at Lancaster University. He has written widely on topics such as democracy, homelessness, regeneration, drugs, housing and employment. Simon was named one of the 42 under 42 entrepreneurs in the North West by Business Insider magazine in 2001.

Nick Carley - Managing Director
Nick has been running and advising on communications, PR and marketing campaigns for 20 years. Nick has previously set up and run consultancies specialising in management development, marketing and public relations and now leads Vision Twentyone. He has worked with clients including the NHS, ASK Property Developments, Tesco, the Northwest regional Development Agency and many others.

Helen Bidwell - Director and Head of Research and Consultation
Leading our work in research and consultation, over the past ten years Helen has directed a diverse range of projects in the fields of regeneration, planning, health, and neighbourhoods. Whilst Helen has experience of both quantitative and qualitative techniques she has developed a particular expertise in the field of public involvement, facilitating a number of Citizens’ Juries, Citizens’ Councils and Peoples’ Panels.

Dr Sandy Ochojna – Business Advisor
Sandy calls upon thirty years of experience in market research to advise Vision Twentyone on methodologies, team development and recruitment. Previously, Sandy has been Regional Director for The Harris Research Centre in Manchester and Director of Ipsos MORI North, with clients including many of the local and public authorities in the North West, all of the UK Passenger Transport Executives, and many leading management and transport consultants. Sandy now runs his own company, The Survey Doctor, providing independent survey research advice.

Mike Murray – Business Advisor
A business development advisor to Vision Twentyone, Mike runs his own management company, MTM Associates Ltd, specialising in strategic advice to SME high growth companies. His prior experience includes starting, expanding and floating a manufacturing company during the 1980s that went on to take over two well known retail chains. Mike is a non-executive director of a number of companies and chairs Community and Business Partners CIC, a third sector company which manages economic development in and around the North West. Mike is also the chair of a Local Strategic Partnership.

Tamsin Cowley - Consultation Manager
Tamsin joined the company in February 2007 from a Manchester based planning consultancy. In her role at Vision Twentyone Tamsin manages consultation and engagement strategies for both our public and private sector clients. Tamsin’s background in planning, regeneration and the built environment means that she is well placed to take forward Vision Twentyone’s projects in this field. Tamsin holds a Masters Degree in Town Planning from the University of Manchester, in addition to a BA in Geography and Politics.

Jonathan Mulligan - Research and Consultation Executive
Jon joined Vision Twentyone in 2004, following the completion of a degree in History at the University of Manchester. Formerly the company’s Fieldwork Manager, Jon’s role is primarily focused on managing research based projects for both our public and private sector clients. Jon’s previous role in fieldwork means that he is well placed to take forward Vision Twentyone’s projects in the field of research and consultation. Jon also provides ad hoc IT support.

Anthony Dawson - Research and Consultation Executive
Anthony joined Vision Twentyone in 2004 as a member of our in house fieldwork team. Anthony progressed to become Fieldwork Manager and has since moved on to his current role as Research executive. While managing data-inputting, analysis and e-consultation on behalf of our clients, Anthony is also responsible for managing various telephone based research projects and takes responsibility for the running of our in-house Computer Aided Telephone Interviewing (CATI) Unit.

Rachel McCourty - Research and Consultation Executive
Rachel joined us in 2007 after completing an MRes in Criminal Justice Research at the University of Manchester and an MA in Social and Political Sciences at the University of Cambridge. An experienced project manager, she has led research and consultation projects for clients across the public sector including the NWDA, the Care Quality Commission and numerous local authorities. Rachel’s past experience includes a three-month secondment to the Greater Manchester Yes Campaign, where she was Stakeholder Engagement Manager.

Ben Hickman - Research and Consultation Manager
Ben plays a key role in the management of research and consultation projects and the development of new business across the company. An associate member of the Market Research Society (MRS), Ben has expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methods and community consultation. Since joining Vision Twentyone, Ben has managed projects on behalf of clients including South Lakeland District Council, the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex, NHS Trafford and Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council.
